Yellow orb hangs loosely in the night. It says to yield. She rocks back and forth at the bus stop. He walks face-down in pavement. Traveling without moving. This moon sees all. Its soft warning. Its delicate drift. A sky full of melodies. Blinded by the song. A slow fade to white.

Outside

A blast of warmth hits the face. Summer’s tease. The promise of spring. A pink haze blooms in the mind. Pink thoughts of you on the dancefloor. Warmer days ahead. Welcoming days. Days of bright neon and even brighter ideas. The music in the breeze. The flowers waiting to bloom. Fresh rain on the horizon. Skies bursting with rainbow clouds when the sun rests. Summer nights are calling in the distance.

Sickness

The body aches. The head full of cotton. Energy exists in thought alone. An ocean of vitamins and homeopathic remedies adrift inside. They take arms against the foreign entity within. An epic confrontation. Health versus sickness. The battle has been brief but intense. Our side starting to show signs of winning. Victory is near.

Renewal

Yellow rays of optimism shine in the cold December. Old ideas and old notions evaporate under the lamppost at dusk. A new horizon of possibilities looms on the horizon. Lessons learned. Life lived. The only way out is up.

Procrastination

Late nights of chasing ghosts down long hallways. Scratching at the doors. Choosing distractions, while work piles up. There is only dust collecting on this desk, instead of completed tasks.

This Is Christmas

The frozen neon lights. The rhythm of the city. Footsteps and heartbeats seek out the promise of snowfall. Winter’s breath chills the body. Winter’s song warms the soul. Shades of red and green whispered in the wind.

Heights

The roar from below. A drum beats in the distance. The rhythm of the living, breathing city. Sun breaks through blue and white spaces. The tiniest details shimmer with radiant hues. I see you when you don’t see me. A stranger taking a rooftop stroll.
